W2 Labs focus: BuildStream’s ‘mission control room for construction logistics’
“A mission control room for construction logistics” is how BuildStream describes its TRACK product. This exciting software saw the business reach the final four of Sprint Three of Wincanton’s 2021 W2 Labs programme, during which it will trial and refine the system.
We caught up with Terry Clarke, Co-Founder of BuildStream, to find out more about TRACK and how it can optimise the modern construction supply chain.
What is your product and what problems does it solve?
BuildStream TRACK is like a mission control room for construction logistics.
It enables companies to track multi enterprise logistics fleets in one real-time map view. This helps to synchronise deliveries and scheduling by bringing visibility to all suppliers in the network that are relevant to the client.
Why did you apply to be a part of W2 Labs?
For industry testing, to collaborate with Wincanton, and look to create a partnership for the future which will make a difference to construction logistics.
What do you see as the key benefits of collaboration between start-ups and large companies like Wincanton?
The ability to rapidly test and iterate in real-life scenarios.
Where do you see your business in five years’ time?
Our aim is for BuildStream TRACK to be used on every construction site in the world. We want to see it helping to make logistics more efficient and productive.
What does it mean to you to secure a place on the programme?
Participation in the programme with Wincanton is an enormous boost to our business and sets us up for success.
