Challenging the way we think about our industry

As the largest British logistics company, providing supply chain services to some of the world’s most recognised names, we have over 17,500 colleagues, operate more than 3,400 vehicles and six million square foot of warehouse space and generate annual revenue of over £1bn. Our size and scale provides us with operational efficiencies that underpin our operational excellence for our customers.

Through the W2 Labs programme we’re looking for ideas that can change the way we think about our business and help us in our ambition to be the most innovative, effective and respected logistics company in the UK.

To achieve this we need to be open to new ideas – ones that we may not have even considered before. The ‘Wildcard’ category is deliberately broad in order to allow start-ups to challenge us around what they believe is important for the future of Wincanton and the wider industry.

The ideas may be new, but the results will be measurable. Improvements in customer experience, or increased employee engagement and productivity could be just some of the areas covered in this part of the programme. Perhaps new or enhanced service offers could drive additional growth.

Ultimately, we recognise that this is an opportunity for us to make a lasting impression on the sector. By playing a role in establishing the digital supply chains of the future we will not only be leading the way in a sector ripe for disruption, but transforming our customers’ lives through the services that we can offer them.

We have encouraged innovative start-ups to think laterally and consider how they could help us change the way we think about our industry. The W2 Labs programme is a fantastic opportunity for us and our partners to lead the logistics industry into a more connected, efficient and sustainable future.
